Joe Trippi was on NOW last week and he was talking about how the youth was going to be the big difference, and at that point I started getting scared. This was the same mentality that the Dean campaign got bit by, and sho 'nuff, it's looking like we're going to get bit by it too. Look friends, one of the main reasons we're Democrats is that we believe in fighting for the little guy. Well, the little guy has spoken, and he doesn't give a shit. He's waving his Bible at us while we pay for his unemployment, welfare and health insurance.
Kos, I love the work you've done, and you're a helluva guy, but I'm increasingly thinking we're fighting a losing battle. And one in which I'm starting to think isn't worth fighting.
We're out busting ass and the entire south, great plains and rockies is voting for Bush. Why should we care about them? Seriously, I want to know. We could have all stayed home this year and gotten the same result.
I think tonight the US jumped the shark.
